Desperate Search Continues: Man Missing for Over a Week

A 26-year-old man who's been missing for more than a week after getting a train fromColerainetoDerry"may still be within the city", police say.

PSNI in the Causeway Coast and Glens policing district first issued a missing person appeal for 26-year-old James Brier on Friday night, expressing 'concern' around three days after he was last seen. Police in Derry City and Strabane have now issued a renewed appeal for help from the public to find him.
Description and Appeal
In the initial missing person appeal, a spokesperson for the PSNI said that James Brier was last seen getting on a train at Coleraine train station towards Derry/Londonderry on Tuesday 8th April. He is described as 5'7", slim build, short brown hair, wearing a dark colored track top, dark colored tracksuit bottoms carrying a laptop in a brown paper bag. The police urge anyone with information to contact them on 101 and use reference 953 from 10/04/25.
Renewed Appeal
A spokesperson from PSNI in the Derry City and Strabane area stated that James Brier, who is believed to have taken a train to the City, may still be within the city. His last known clothing includes dark colored trousers, white trainers, and a long sleeve tracksuit top. The police ask the public to contact them on 101 and reference incident 953 of the 10/04/25 if they see James or have any information regarding his whereabouts.
