Police Bust £860k Cocaine and Cannabis Stash in Co Down Raid

A man has been arrested after police seized suspected cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of £860,000 in Co Down.

It follows a proactive search of a property in the Carrigenagh Road area of Kilkeel on Thursday, April 10 by detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch. Supported by Tactical Support Group, officers seized a substantial quantity of suspected cocaine and cannabis.

In an update on Friday morning, police said a 46-year old-man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A Controlled drug, possession of a Class A Controlled drug with intent to supply, possession of a Class B Controlled drug and possession of a Class B Controlled drug with intent to supply and remains in custody. A police spokesman said: “Our officers will continue to protect communities from the harm of illegal drugs. As a result of this excellent police work, a large quantity of suspected dangerous controlled drugs are now safely off our streets.
