Renewed Call for Victims of Serial Rapist Zhenhao Zou

A renewed appeal has been issued for potential victims of serial rapist Zhenhao Zou to come forward as police fear his victims may not know that they are ones. The Metropolitan Police Service in London, supported by the PSNI, have issued the appeal this week as 23 women have come forward since March 2025, and made reports to police.

Zou's Criminal Activities

The 28-year-old moved to Northern Ireland from China to study mechanical engineering at Queen's University between 2017 and 2019. He then returned briefly to his native China due to coronavirus. In September 2019 he moved to London to do a master’s degree, returning to China periodically. Zou was convicted of 11 rapes on 10 women in the UK and China at Inner London Crown Court and has been described as one of the worst sexual predators in the UK. Police fear he may have many more victims who are yet to come forward.

Appeal for Information

Detective Chief Inspector Stephanie Finlay of the PSNI’s Public Protection Branch stated, 'To date we have not received any reports of potential offences committed in Northern Ireland and so we are again appealing for information...' If you have any information or may have been a victim, please report it to the Metropolitan Police Service using the online Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP).
