Chilling Discovery: Human Skull Found in Supervalu Bag in Cork Garden

Chilling Discovery
A West Cork garden has been cordoned off by Gardaí following the grim discovery of a human skull in a Supervalu shopping bag. The chilling find was made on Friday afternoon at a property nestled between the villages of Eyeries and Ardgroom on the Beara Peninsula.

Investigation Launched
A full investigation has been launched by Gardaí into the incident. Local Councillor Finbarr Harrington described the incident as "highly unusual" for such a "peaceful and safe" area, expressing his concern for the homeowners and neighbouring residents. An anonymous local resident expressed their shock at the incident, stating: "At first we thought it was a body. God knows how long it's been there. You'd never hear of anything like this around here." Gardaí have confirmed that they were notified about the discovery of partial human remains in an area close to Eyeries in Co. Cork on the afternoon of Friday, 18th April 2025. A Garda spokesperson stated: "The scene is currently preserved pending technical examination. The remains, believed to be a human skull, were removed for further examination and DNA analysis. "Enquiries are ongoing. No further information is available at this time."
