Former Civil Servant Pleads Guilty to Possessing Child Abuse Images

Former civil servant Peter Joseph Crawford, 49, pleaded guilty to further offences of having child abuse images. Background Information

Crawford had previously denied four offences of possessing indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children. However, on April 4, at Belfast Crown Court, he re-arraigned and entered guilty pleas to three counts he faced. The Charges

Crawford had a previous conviction dating back 20 years; he was jailed in 2004 for downloading child abuse images. Legal Proceedings

Judge Mark Reel released Crawford on continuing bail awaiting sentencing on June 4, 2025.
