Giant Pothole in Co Armagh Transforms into 'Duck Pond'

A pothole in Co Armagh has grown so large it has turned into a "duck pond", a local councillor says.
TUV chairman expresses frustration
TUV party chairman and Armagh, Banbridge, and Craigavon councillor Keith Ratcliffe expressed his frustration, saying he's "frankly fed up with the lack of action" regarding the road defects.
Calls for urgent attention
Councillor Ratcliffe shared a photograph of a duck enjoying a splash in what he described as a pothole on the Marlacoo Road, connecting Hamiltonsbawn and Tandragee in Co Armagh.
Government response
Despite government efforts to address potholes, including an additional £1 million allocation, the situation on the Marlacoo Road in Armagh seems dire. Minister John O’Dowd previously highlighted the inadequacy of current actions, with Ratcliffe emphasizing the urgent need for resolution. The potholes have now developed into dangerous craters, even resembling duck ponds after heavy rainfall. Stay informed by visiting the Belfast Live homepage and subscribing to the daily newsletter.
