Belfast Man Sentenced for Stealing Clothing from New Look Store

Man Jailed for Stealing Clothes

A Belfast man linked to two burglaries at the same New Look store was jailed for 15 months. The clothing outlet at Cityside retail park in north Belfast was broken into twice last year and items were stolen on both occasions.

Details of the Burglaries

Pearse Maskey, who is 31 and from Fianna House on Queen's Parade in Belfast, admitted involvement in both burglaries and was sentenced on Thursday, April 24. Judge Philip Gilpin imposed a term of 30 months which was divided equally between prison and licence. Belfast Crown Court heard that around 7.10am on March 7 last year, the supervisor of the New Look store at Cityside arrived for work. The front window of the store had been smashed and around £800's worth of clothing had been stolen...
