Police Warning on Traffic Disruption

Police in Belfast have issued a warning regarding potential traffic disruptions expected in the city center over the weekend. This caution comes in light of two planned parades and marches, scheduled for Saturday afternoon, April 5. The first procession will commence from Writer’s Square at 11am, following a route through Donegall Street, Royal Avenue, Donegall Place, and concluding at Belfast City Hall by 1pm. Subsequently, a second event starting from Custom House Square at 2pm will traverse Queen Square, High Street, Bridge Street, Waring Street, Donegal Street, Royal Avenue, Donegall Place, before reaching Donegall Square North and culminating at Belfast City Hall around 4.30pm. The PSNI has affirmed that officers will be deployed to supervise traffic flow and ensure public safety.
